Step 1: Create the custom field
Create the custom field with a CSV of membership numbers and the data you wish to import for each member.
Step 2: Add the custom field merge tag to your message, script or question
Add the custom field merge tag in any message, script or question by selecting the + then selecting the custom field you wish to use.
